Colonial Roofing is a professional installer of modern standing seam roofing systems. Over the years, we have developed specialized methods and installation practices that work together to create a durable and beautiful standing seam metal roof that you can count on for decades to come.
Colonial Roofing is unique in that we handle every part of designing and creating your new roof in-house! We produce the panels for your new roof on-site and also have our own sheet metal shop where we fabricate the trims and accessories needed for the project. This allows for us to make whatever we need to ensure the perfect fit for your roof!
We use 24 ga galvalume on all of our installations. This ensures a robust and aesthetic finished product. Thicker metal is also stiffer, keeping trim details looking straight and flat.
Before we install the metal system, we first cover the roof in a high-grade waterproof membrane, commonly called “peel and stick.” The membrane we use is specifically designed for metal applications and provides a second layer of weatherproofing for your home.

Installing a great metal roof requires specialized knowledge, tools, and equipment that are not common in the Jacksonville area. Colonial Roofing’s Metal Division was created so that homeowners and builders in Jacksonville that want a metal roof, can get one that they know is installed well and will provide that low maintenance, beautiful roofing that metal provides.
From accurately planning the layout of the roof using CAD technology, to fabricating the metal, and finally installation, all parts are handled by us to streamline the project and help prevent issues.

Colonial Roofing carries active Workers Compensation, General Liability, and Commercial Automobile policies far above the state-required minimums. In addition, we are a proud partner of the Florida Roofing and Sheet Metal Association (FRSA) and do not lease our employees. We are licensed by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulations (DBPR) and hold the active license #CCC1329505. Certificates are available upon request.
We do not use subcontractors. All of our team members are employees of Prime Roofing. In addition, our employees must pass background checks and we do not hire day labor or temporary help.
We do not require a down payment. Upon completion and your satisfaction, we will send an invoice for the contracted work.
The time it takes to replace a roof is directly related to the size of the roof. However, Prime Roofing completes most projects in just 1 day! Inclement weather and unforeseen circumstances can add additional time to a replacement project.
Yes. Prime Roofing will handle submitting all required paperwork and scheduling the necessary inspections associated with the roof work you need. The cost of this work is included in our pricing.
